Medicare is a great option for those that have a hard time getting health insurance otherwise or have no other option to be able to get it. Through Medicare you can get most of the coverage that you need from your health insurance, but sometimes there are needs for you to get a little more coverage. You can do this with the Medicare Supplemental Insurance that is offered by private health insurance companies.
Medicare Supplement Insurance plans (or Medigap plans) are offered in many different forms. With Medigap Plan B you will get everything that is included in Medigap Plan A plus a little bit more. So this means you get the extra time for hospital stays (365 days) and you get help with Medicare Plan B coinsurance.
You also get the first three pints of blood that you may need covered for free and help with the Hospice Care coinsurance or copayment. What makes Plan B different is that you also get some help with the Medicare Part A deductible. This is a great option to have if you are on a fixed income and would have a hard time coming up with that deductible on your own.
