If you are relying on your Medigap policy to help you stay healthy it can be a stressful thing to keep up with. When you are open to more and more health issues it is important to make sure you have the right coverage to protect yourself. So when this is your situation it is important that you make sure your Medigap policy is still useful when you move out of your current state of residence.
What you should remind yourself is as long as you have original Medicare you don’t have to change anything with your Medigap. What is vitally important is that you keep making your payments to make your Medigap policy be in force. Regardless of where you are living this would make it difficult to keep your current Medigap policy in force.
After you move it will be a good idea to contact your Medigap insurance company and see if they need you to do anything. Inform them about your needs and your residence change and see if they will require any additional information from you. If they don’t require anything else you are done and moved and ready to live!
