Seniors already covered by the national Medicare program often want a little supplementary coverage to fill in any gaps left from stand alone Medicare policies. Blue Cross offers affordable plans for seniors to supplement their current Medicare plans with tailored insurance packages to the needs of the individual policy holder.
Blue Cross Medicare supplement policies are available in all states, but local coverages vary slightly reflecting the diversity of Medicare payments state by state.
Medicare supplementary coverage will often have a deductible, and the amount of that deductible can be altered by the users (although this will change monthly premiums) but beyond this deductible payment, the supplementary policies aim to cover all hospital and medical expenses incurred after Medicare use. Traditionally it is about 80 % Medicare and 20% supplementary insurance. Even as Medicare does cover 80% of hospital fees, lengthy admissions can be so expensive, that all seniors should consider supplementary coverage as a necessity.
The standard Blue Cross supplementary packages do not include prescription drug coverage. This coverage can be purchased separately and joined to your existing Blue cross coverage. The prescription plan is called plan D. Blue cross supplementary Medicare services can vary but by state, but most policies will offer:
No necessary claims forms needed. Blue cross will work directly with the health care providers to ensure that coverage is provided.
The benefits of a recognized name. Your health card will allow you access to medical services nation wide. Health providers are comfortable with a name that they trust.
Prospective policy subscribers should feel encouraged by Blue Cross’ no delay coverage on existing conditions. You will receive your full coverage from the first day that you start your policy, without the industry normal multi month delay for care on existing conditions. This can offer great peace of mind to seniors, reluctant to change Medicare supplement policies for fear of lapsed coverage.
A great choice of hospitals and doctors. To fund out what health providers are covered in your area, visit your states Blue Cross Medicare supplement web page. You will likely fund that the hospitals and doctors in your area already accept the well respected Blue Cross card. Blue Cross also promises to keep pace with the rising cost of medical care and equipment. The policies will reflect coverage on the current cost for these products or services.
Additional savings on dental care, chiropractic care, mail order vitamins, plus easy to use, transparent billing procedures, designed for seniors.
Most seniors will want the peace of mind afforded through additional supplementary health insurance above their government. provided Medicare. The Blue Cross supplementary package has comprehensive services and a respected and well known name.

Hi
I have been disabled for quite some time. I receive Medicare and Medicaid. I want to reintergrate to at least part-time work however I will lose Medicaid almost immediatly. Moving from State to State is limited also. Can you offer a plan that will replace my existing Medicaid coverage while I still keep Medicare? If so how much would that cost per month? I live in Oklahoma presently, for example, and would like to relocate to Colorado.
Thank You!
